The KDE project and announced the first update of maintenance KDE 4.1, launched just a month ago. KDE 4.1.1 includes long list of corrections and changes, which include:

• Significant increase in the yield, and render Interaction included in KHTML and Konqueror, the KDE browser.

• Bug Fixes in Gwenview, image viewer, more robust and even shows pictures corrupt.
• Interaction with the user, redraws stability solved in Plasma, desktop KDE4.
• Engine PDF fixed in the viewer Okular documents.
• Stability and interaction arranged in KMail.

Kubuntu announced that it has updated its repositories for Kubuntu 8.04 with binary packages KDE 4.1.1; other distributions like Debian, Fedora and Opensuse also already did the same.

Other versions of KDE 4.1 maintenance inevitably continue in the months that remain until next January will introduce new KDE 4.2.
