Adobe and announced the launch of the first version of its Linux version of Adobe AIR, the new environment for the creation of RIAS (Rich Internet Applications) using Flash, Adobe Flex, HTML and Ajax. This new Linux version has almost all the features expected and its compatibility with applications AIR 1.1 operating under Windows and Mac should be ideal.

However, the binary available at the moment is only compatible with distributions somewhat "old": Ubuntu 7.10, Fedora 8 and openSUSE 10.3.
