Daniel Halens sent a message to wish a happy holiday from the development team and testing Sabayon Linux. Sabayon is an Italian distribution based on Gentoo, which differs from the latter which can have a full installation of the operating system without the need to compile all packages.

Its recently launched version 4 also includes new features such as:
3D acceleration support from the LiveDVD.
The 32-bit version has gone from i586 to i686.
25% improvement in boot times (both LiveDVD the system installed).
Improvements Entropy (the package management system itself) can now rate and comment on any package.

Among its updated packages include:
Kernel 2.6.27-10 ready to Ext4
KDE 3.5.10 and KDE 4.1.3 (in repositories)
GNOME 2.24.2
XFCE 4.4.3
OpenOffice.org 3.0
Firefox 3.0.4 with Flash 10

Surely the point is a graph of the most highlighted in this distribution, reminding us of the good name that the Italians have in these areas.

The installation can be done through 5 pre-selected options or perform a custom installation, it also promises the inclusion of KDE 4.2 repositories barely ready.
