Appeared in a second version of beta package Office KOffice 2.0. It does not make significant new features, the designer focused primarily on improving the errors found since the first Bety.

What immediately throws in the eyes of the unified look and style. All applications included in the KOffice are equipped with a new layout, designed for high resolution. It represents the area now working together with the Sidebar that offers quick access to the most urgently needed at any given time tools. Their layout can be freely edited, in turn spread configuration every time saved and loaded when the next launch package. New KOffice will also have native support for Open Document Format (ODF). Also, the appearance of the package, so that is based on Qt, integrates more into the system, under which it is run.

What's new? In KChart - a tool used to create charts - improved support for ODF in terms of loading titles, sub-titles, position footers, size and style, and to capture the grid, or support axis. KPresenter offers better support for symbols, can now also generate a thumbnail presentation systems with the pages using SVG graphics. Introduced a new style list, there is also the option of scoring the type of space-after and for: text-align in a text editor KWord.

It is still not known the exact date of issue KOffice 2.0. Beta 2 is available for download in the form of independent sources to compile and packages. Packages can also be downloaded from the experimental repositories of Debian.
