I really enjoy Ubuntu related headlines. In what other Linux can you mention the name of the release without any version information (no, the 4 above is not a version) and immediately have everyone know what you are talking about.Well, it is here! The 4th prerelease of Ubuntu 7.10 is now available for download. I have not yet tried the release, but it does sound quite exciting:

• Gnome 2.19.6 - The latest beta of Gnome
• Desktop search with Meta Tracker
• OpenOffice 2.3 Beta
• AppArmor - for vastly improved security

This will not be a long term support release, however it is clear from looking at these changes that they are in the process of stabilizing the release cycle for an LTS in the next release.So, are there any beta reports from this one yet?
