The popularity of Linux around the world
In what is part of the world's most popular Linux? Where are most popular different Linux distributions?
A BLOGGER to answer these two questions proposed using the new Google Insight and its results, although approximate and relative, are quite revealing, for example:
Globally, interest in Linux is stronger in India, Cuba and Russia, with Germany being the first country in western europe to appear on that list, but only in the tenth position.
At the level of distributions private data are also interesting:
Ubuntu is more popular in Italy, Cuba and Indonesia. Opensuse is more popular in Russia, the Czech Republic and Moldova (!). Fedora is more popular in Sri Lanka (!), Bangladesh (!) And India. Debian is more popular in Cuba, the Czech Republic and Germany. Red Hat is more popular in Bangladesh (!), Nepal (!) and Sri Lanka (!!!). Mandriva is more popular in Russia, the Czech Republic and Poland. Slackware is more popular in Bulgaria, Indonesia and Brazil. Gentoo is more popular in Russia, the Czech Republic and Belarus (!).
